Meet the Author
Bonjour – I'm Jill Colonna!
Scottish-French and based in Paris, I've spent 33 years cooking for French family and friends and sharing lighter, flavour-forward recipes on Mad About Macarons.
I specialise in simplifying French classics – less sugar, more flavour – and show home cooks exactly how to succeed. I've already made the mistakes so you don't have to, so I always explain the "why" behind each step, not just the "what".
The Mad About Macarons Store brings these French desserts together in interactive e-books and online courses, designed to give you confidence in the kitchen.
A New Chapter After 15 Years …
For 15 years, I wasn't allowed to share the recipes from my first two cookbooks online.
Now that the rights have reverted, I'm releasing exciting digital editions – with even clearer instructions, more step-by-step photos and video clips – exclusively here in the Mad About Macarons Store.
What Makes These E-books different?
The first title, Master Crème Caramel opens a new collection of unique, beautifully designed, interactive French dessert e-books.
Learn how to make a large caramel pudding – plus even more easy egg custard recipes with 30+ flavour twists - all lighter in sugar, but big on flavour. Includes:
- 130+ step-by-step photos
- Clear, click-to-navigate structure
- Helpful tips at every stage
- Short video clips in the Enhanced Edition
- Works on most EPUB apps (Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, etc.)
- Instant access via My Account → Downloads
I write the way I cook at home: practical, encouraging, and full of the tiny details that turn "it worked!" into "I'd proudly serve this at my next French dinner."
